Chatfield area youth made a big SPLASH at the Library this summer!! You’ll find 79 water drops on the windows at the top of the stairs at the library. That’s a water drop for every 1,000 minutes that participants read or were read to this summer! Kids kept track and turned in reading logs to earn banana bucks. The library’s renowned “banana bucks” were used to buy a variety of great prizes. The kids logged in 79,800 minutes of reading during June and July. That’s fabulous!!
Two reading logs were randomly drawn from all those that were turned in this summer. Draven Hendershot and Hannah Paul were the lucky winners each of a $25 Barnes & Noble gift card. Congratulations to all our great readers for making such a big SPLASH at the Library!
Chatfield teens were also busy reading this summer. They logged in a total of 25,207 pages of reading! Congratulations go to Keagan Clarke, Alli Hanson, Shammah Butler, and Deanna Danielson – all winners of a $35 prepaid American Express gift card.
