Did you know there was a Civilian Conservation Corps camp near Chatfield back in 1933?

The caption of this photo says

Limestone dams, such as this one built by enrollees in Chatfield (Little Sahara) camp, were permanent conservation treatments for areas prone to water eroision.  Over time, the dams became less visible, yet they continued to stop soil loss and prevent further damage.
