Doug Ohman’s MN Byways – March 7th

We celebrate our Carnegie Library’s 102nd anniversary by bringing you freelance photographer and public speaker Doug Ohman.  He will be at the Chatfield Center for the Arts on Tuesday, March 7th at 7:00pm. Doug’s work has been widely published in magazines, calendars and books, and in the popular book series, Minnesota Byways. This talk will feature photos and stories from the series.

From each book, Doug will take you to his favorite locations. He will share the best photographs and stories from around the great state of Minnesota. Doug will also tell his own story about how he took his passion for history and love of photography and combined them into a successful career.

Doug will have copies of his books for sale at the event.

Refreshments will be provided by members of the Library Board, the Friends of the Library, and staff.

Doug has degrees in both Geography and History from the University of Minnesota. Before becoming a full-time photographer, he was the Operations Manager at the Mall of America. He currently lives in New Hope, MN with his wife of over 30 years, Krin.

His work can be viewed on his website, www.pioneerphotography.com.
