Meeting Minutes

Previous Minutes Read and approved

Treasurer’s Report:

Checking: $299.02

Savings: $2871.45

Foundation: $1160.00

Old Business:

SELCO Foundation Representative:  Denise volunteered to be our Rep.

“Ask” letter was substantially revised and approved for use. Including our Brochure with the ASK letter mailing was also presented and approved.

New Business: 

Theresa presented lots of information about the Brass Band Library. An Open House Tour is scheduled for November 7th from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Brass Band Library on Library Lane.

A brief discussion was held about Banned Books read by the Friends.

Book reviews were discussed for the Website. Several friends offered to do reviews. A suggestion was made to solicit book reviews from teachers, city council members, and other community members. Having a Recommended Reading section on the website was also discussed. Members present took a brief look at the Library and Brass Band Library websites.
